1. Research

This is a crucial first step- it's important to be well acquainted with the traits of Yorkies & Biewers to ensure they are a good fit for your family and lifestyle. Educate yourself on dog care and training and seek professional trainers if needed, Determine what is important to you in a dog and in a breeder. It's important to make sure your family is in agreement about adding a puppy to your family- be sure everyone in your family is ready for a puppy before contacting us.
2. Apply
To be part of the Silver Ridge family we require each family to fill out the puppy application. We use the application as a means to get to know you and get an idea of where puppy will be living. Its important to us that our pups find the right families, and our application is a great tool to help us accomplish this. Once the application is filled out we will review your application and get back to you within 24/48 hours with approval.
3. Select Wait List
Once your application has been reviewed and been approved, you can choose to either join the priority list by paying the $250 reservation fee or you can choose to remain on the free notification list.

Notification list
Our notification list is free and notifies families of news in our kennel but does not put them in line for a puppy. Please note notification list does not put you in line to adopt a puppy. This is a good option for families who aren't quite ready to consider a puppy- but would like to hop on the priority list quickly when they are ready or if a puppy happens to become available.

Priority list
Our puppies are reserved through our priority waiting list ONLY. Choosing to be part of our priority list is completely optional and families are welcome to remain on the notification list if they desire. To get on our priority list and in line for a puppy we require a $250 fee. This fee goes toward the overall cost of your puppy- so in the end it costs nothing extra. Your place on the list goes by date of application, older applications are higher on the list with newer applicants closer to the bottom.
4. Wait
Once you have an approved application and have joined the priority list then you will have to wait until it's your turn to select your puppy. We will contact you when you will be in line for a litter and what pick you will have (1st, 2nd, 3rd... etc). Average wait for a puppy is 4-6 months depending on the gender and preferences you have. Those that are open to either gender and males generally experience shorter waits. If you are determined to have a female expect a 6-9 month wait.
5. Select Your Puppy
When you have been notified you are in line for a puppy, you will receive regular updates with photos and videos as puppies grow. At 6 weeks old we price the litter and present each puppy to the top family on the list and work our way down. Once your family has picked their puppy we require 50% of the total paid with the remainder due at pickup.
Our pups are an investment with males being $2,500-$4,000 and females $3,500-$5,000, we believe our pups are worth every penny as we have very high standards on our dogs and breed the highest quality adults we have found. We perform health and DNA testing and put in the work to give our families beautiful well socialized puppies.
Once you have your puppy reserved- please take the time to fill out our contract/guarantee this must be filled out before the puppy leaves to join your family.
6. Take Puppy Home
At 10-12 weeks old pups are ready to join your family- when a puppy leaves us to join your family it doesn't mean you are on your own. We provide lifetime support for all our puppies. We want placement with your new family member to be a success- so you can contact us anytime you need help with advice and support.
All puppies come with a generous five year genetic health guarentee- so you can be assured you will have a pup with the best possible chance to a long life in your family.
